两次超强厄尔尼诺事件海温异常与次年中国东部夏季降水特征对比

中文摘要:利用 NOAA逐月海表温度(SST)资料以及国家信息中心提供的753站逐日降水资料,对比分析了1997/1998和2015/2016年两次强厄尔尼诺事件的海温异常分布特征、次年中国东部夏季降水以及环流异常特征,结果表明:(1)2015/2016年厄尔尼诺事件持续时间长,海温正异常中心分布范围广,在日界线附近的海温值较1997/1998年的高;(2)1997/1998年厄尔尼诺事件次年江南北部到长江流域、黄淮地区和东北地区降水较常年偏多,而2015/2016年厄尔尼诺事件次年降水范围和强度相对较小;(3)1997/1998年事件次年夏季西北太平洋副热带高压强盛,位置偏西,脊线偏南,异常的水平风场、垂直环流以及水汽通量均有利于我国长江流域附近以及东北地区降水产生,而2015/2016年事件次年副高强度相对偏弱,且脊线位置偏北偏东,水平风场和水汽场偏弱,因此降水范围和程度较1997/1998年事件偏弱。

Contrast of SST Anomaly and the Decaying Summer Rainfall in the Eastern China Between Two Strong El Nin(~)o
Abstract:Based on the NOAA monthly sea surface temperature (SST) data and the 753-stations daily rainfall data provided by National Meteorological Information Center, the characters of SST anomaly, rainfall in the eastern China and atmosphere circulation during decaying summer of 1997/1998 and 2015/2016 El Nin(~)o are compared and analysed. It is shown that 1) the duration of the El Nin(~)o in 2015/2016 is longer than in1997/1998, and the center of the SST anomaly is widely distributed in the equatorial Pacific, the magnitude of SST near the date-line is higher than that in 1997/1998’s; 2) The precipitation in the north of the Yangtze River to the Yangtze River, Huang-huai region and the Northeast China were much higher than the Climatological mean during 1997/1998 El Nin(~)o decaying summer, while it’s more weaker and the spatial extent of anomalous rainfall is smaller in 2015/2016 than in 1997/1998 El Nin(~)o; 3) The Western North Pacific subtropical high (WNPSH) is strong, extends to westward and the ridge line tends to move southward. The anomalous horizontal wind, vertical circulation and vapor flux are all favorable for precipitation in the mentioned region above in 1997/1998 El Nin(~)o decaying summer. All these conditions become weaker during the 2015/2016 El Nin(~)o decaying summer that make the precipitation slightly weaker.
