中国大陆地区GPM多星集成降水产品IMERG的精度评估

中文摘要:摘 要:本文利用2014年9月至2015年8月国家气象信息中心基于地面雨量计的逐日降水分析产品CGDPA检验同期多星集成降水产品IMERG在中国区域的精度。结果表明,IMERG与基准降水产品CGDPA的日平均降水量空间分布有较高的相关性,全国相关系数和均方根误差分别为0.91和0.66mm/d,但区域差异明显,西部地区估测降水能力(相关系数为0.72,均方根误差是0.81mm/d)较东部地区(相关系数为0.94,均方根误差是0.52mm/d)差。卫星降水产品IMERG在春、夏、秋季对降水的估测精度高于冬季,冬季在全国、东部地区和西部地区相对误差分别达到了-18.24%、-16.83%和-22.74%,这主要是因为卫星降水反演对于小降水以及固态降水的捕捉能力有限。四个季节IMERG降水产品在我国东部地区的估测精度都高于我国西部地区。IMERG降水产品在中雨、大雨、暴雨的降水频率误差比较小,频率误差在2%以下,在微量降水频率误差比较大,在6%左右。

Evaluation of Integrated Multi-satellite Retrievals for GPM(IMERG) Precipitation Product over China
Abstract:Abstract:The China Gauge-Based Daily Precipitation Analysis(CGDPA) product developed by the National Meteorological Information Center are used to verify the accuracy of Integrated Multi-satellite Retrievals for GPM(IMERG) product from September 2014 to August 2015 over China. The results show that the IMERG product is highly correlated with CGDPA in revealing the spatial distributions of daily mean precipitation with correlation coefficient(CC) being about 0.91 and root mean square error(RMSE) about 0.66 mm/d. Note that the performance in East China (CC about 0.72, RMSE about 0.81mm/d) is better than in West China (CC about 0.94, RMSE about 0.52 mm/d). The performance of IMERG product varies greatly spatially and temporally. The accuracy of IMERG product is higher in spring, summer, autumn than in winter, and shows poor performance in winter with relative bias(RB) about -18.24%, -16.83%, -22.74% respectively for the whole of China, East China, West China due to the estimate ability of IMERG is poor when estimating solid and small-amount precipitation. It performs better in East China than in West China in all seasons. For the frequency of different grades of precipitation from IMERG product, the errors of moderate rain, large rain and heavy rain are less than 2%, and trace rain is about 6%.
